Performance
The new Bentayga Speed is built on the most powerful version of Bentley’s twin-turbocharged, 4.0 litre V8 engine. This high-powered V8 powertrain is capable of generating 850 Nm (627 lb ft) of torque and 650 PS (641 bhp), to deliver even more of the seemingly endless acceleration for which Bentley is renowned. In fact, from a standing start, it can take you to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds) – incredible performance for such a luxurious, spacious vehicle. Its top speed is a thrilling 193 mph (310 km/h)*.
Carbon ceramic brakes are included with the new 23” wheels and available as an option with the standard 22” wheels. With 10 pistons on each of the front callipers, they give your car incredible stopping power.
There are four driving modes to choose from, including an enhanced Sport Mode that takes the responsiveness of the Bentayga Speed to new heights. This mode includes a new ESC Dynamic Mode – available on vehicles with carbon ceramic brakes installed – which is designed to unleash the full potential of the car’s phenomenal chassis. If you get the opportunity to push the car to its limits – on a track, for example – ESC Dynamic Mode will allow the rear end of the car to drift as you corner, positioning you much better to power out of the bend, just as you might in a small, low sports car. ESC Dynamic Mode also gives you access to Launch Control, allowing you to experience the raw acceleration of the car, from a standstill to 60 mph and far beyond.
The car is also fitted with Sports Exhaust and a new calibration to make the most of the V8 engine’s rich sound. This system can optionally be upgraded to a titanium Akrapovic Sports Exhaust, giving your Bentayga Speed a truly fearsome roar when you put your foot down.
Whichever mode you choose to drive in, stability in corners is dramatically enhanced by the addition of Bentley Dynamic Ride, an innovative electronic anti-roll system that works to keep the cabin level through corners, without compromising on ride quality at other times. The addition of all-wheel steering, meanwhile, enables you to manoeuvre with greater ease in tight spaces, while also benefiting from more stability as you change lanes at high speeds.

Design
The new Bentayga Speed features a wealth of features and finishes that set it apart, its muscular styling identifying it instantly as an SUV of incredible power. Dark tint exterior detailing replaces the bright chrome seen on the other models in the Bentayga range. A dark tint has been applied to the headlamps, while grey tail lamps achieve a similar effect at the rear of the car. A black rear diffuser and a body-coloured Styling Specification add to the dynamic aesthetic by enhancing the car’s streamlined appearance, while the roof can also be commissioned in black, for a motorsport-inspired duotone effect.
Large 22” wheels are fitted as standard, however the car can also be commissioned with optional 23” wheels – exclusive to this model and the largest available on any Bentley. These wheels are available in your choice of grey satin, black gloss or a black painted and bright machined finish, and come paired with carbon ceramic brakes. For maximum visual impact, pair them with brightly coloured brake callipers from Mulliner. In addition to Beluga (black), Ice (silver) and Pillar Box Red, the range includes Mandarin, a vivid orange, Hyper Green, Signal Yellow and Klein Blue.
The car also features the spectacular Animated Welcome Lamps by Mulliner. When you open the door, they project a shimmering, swirling light show onto the ground, to illuminate your path as you get in or get out.
Inside, the cabin features a version of Bentley’s Precision Diamond Quilt pattern created exclusively for the Speed models, alongside an exclusive new Speed colour layout. The ‘Speed’ emblem is visible on the fascia and on the seats, while the Dark Chrome Interior Specification – a package that replaces a selection of the bright chrome interior detailing with dark tint chrome – is available as an option, to give your Bentayga Speed an even more purposeful, sporty feel.
In a striking demonstration of Bentley attention to detail, even the graphics on the display have been designed to reflect the car’s dynamic character.

Technology
The new Bentayga Speed includes a wealth of technology to ensure you can continue your digital life in your car. It includes the wired and wireless versions of Apple CarPlay* and Android Auto**, so you can use apps on your phone effortlessly. There is also a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot and a wireless phone charger for phones that support it – for others, there are two USB-C ports.
As an alternative to Apple CarPlay* and Android Auto**, you can download apps direct to the car’s infotainment system, from a pre-approved selection. This means that rather than running your preferred navigation app from your phone, for example, you can run it on the car’s system, where it can access useful vehicle data like fuel and range levels.
The air conditioning and purification system can filter out various pollutants including harmful PM2.5 particles. It can re-circulate the air in the cabin if the air outside is judged to be of a poorer quality and it can detect tunnels before you enter them, switching to re-circulation mode in readiness. It can even detect whether there is anyone sitting in the rear seats and manage the air flow accordingly.
Driving in tight spaces is made easier, thanks to a real-time 3D display of your surroundings, as well as Manoeuvre Assist, which alerts you when at risk of bumping or scraping your bodywork against an obstacle.
One of the most useful features is the car’s ability to help you park. Not only can it identify a suitable space and perform the manoeuvre, controlling the steering, accelerator and brake, but it can even do so while you stand and watch – useful if the space looks so small that you might have trouble getting out.
The My Bentley smartphone app adds many more remote access features for your security and convenience, like the ability to locate your car and alerts if the alarm goes off. It can even notify you if the car is moved without your consent.
When it comes to music, you can choose to upgrade the Bentley Signature Audio sound system to either the Bang & Olufsen for Bentley or Naim for Bentley systems, both of which now support Dolby Atmos. This means that if you use the Tidal or Amazon Music apps, you will experience incredible definition and clear spatial awareness, allowing you to hear the sounds of the different instruments coming from different directions.

Personalisation
When commissioning a new Bentayga Speed, there are seven standard exterior colours to choose from, however a wide range of optional colours brings your choice to more than 80 different paints, including satin finishes and the Mulliner Legacy Colours range. . This latter range offers access to five recently reintroduced heritage colours, originally made available for the Bentayga Atelier Edition.
To complement your paint choice, you can opt to add the Blackline Specification, which turns all the dark tint exterior brightware black – and this now includes the winged Bentley badges, for the first time. Bright chrome detailing is also available, as a separate option.
Inside, you can choose from Bentley’s entire range of 15 hide colours. You can add contrast stitching, contrast piping and embroidery – you can even commission contrast stitching and hand cross-stitching in the same interior. When it comes to the veneered surfaces on display throughout the cabin, you can choose from a range including open-pore woods, high-gloss woods and technical finishes such as Dark Tint Diamond Brushed Aluminium. There is also a choice of beautiful piano-painted options by Mulliner, including Piano Black, Piano Linen, Cricket Ball, Imperial Blue, Gravity Grey and Burnt Oak.
The optional Front Seat Comfort Specification adds winged headrests, ventilation, massage functions and additional adjustments for the seat cushions and backrests. It also features two truly groundbreaking features: Seat Auto Climate and Postural Adjust. Seat Auto Climate uses sensors in the seat, combined with the heating and ventilation features, to keep you comfortable constantly. Postural Adjust uses air pockets beneath the surface of the seats to vary the pressure on your muscles and help stop fatigue setting in.
For passengers in the rear, you can add the Bentley Rear Entertainment system, which includes two 10.1” touchscreens mounted on the backs of the front seats, which let passengers watch content from their mobile devices. For audio, you can choose from the Bentley system, which is installed as standard, the Bang & Olufsen for Bentley system, which features illuminated speaker grilles, or the Naim for Bentley system, which offers unrivalled sound quality.
The optional Touring Specification includes features such as a Head-Up Display and Night Vision, as well as Adaptive Cruise Assist with Lane Guidance, which makes long highway drives safer and less arduous, and Predictive Adaptive Cruise Assist, which can account for changing speed limits when you are on major roads other than highways.
